Testimonials

Julie Wilcox

I am a Propulsion Plant Fluid Systems engineer at Electric Boat in New London. I was an intern for three summers prior to taking the full time position. This gave me confidence that this was the job for me and also to walk in with the feeling I could succeed in the task ahead. As an intern, I worked alongside a mentor that was working on the early concept phase of Reactor and Steam Plant Systems, and I'm now working on the same systems in detail design phase as a full time employee.

Being an intern here at Electric Boat was invaluable, as I was able to learn the ins and outs of working in a company without the pressure of fulfilling full time engineering duties. When it came time for graduation, I was excited about accepting a job at Electric Boat. I knew from the exposure to the technical aspects of different phases of design, and the future construction challenges, that I would have a satisfying career with plenty of room to grow.
